Study tool, not an authority
Ozen Test Prep's practice problems and practice exams are for exam preparation only. They are not a substitute for the official NEC code text, the NCEES FE Reference Handbook and exam specifications, your exam vendor's candidate handbook, or your state licensing board's official requirements. Where a practice page, a state licensing page, or an FE guide cites a source, that source — not this site — is the authority. The electrician Sources & References and FE exam sources pages show exactly how each figure was verified.
No warranty on accuracy
We verify every reference value against at least one independent published source before it's used, and we correct errors when they're reported (see Contact). That said, code editions, exam formats, fees, and licensing requirements change — this site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, and you're responsible for confirming anything time-sensitive (fees, deadlines, exam content) against the current official source before you rely on it, schedule an exam, or pay a fee.
Free to use
Every practice problem, practice exam, and study guide on Ozen Test Prep is free, with no account and no limit on how much you practice. We may add new exams, practice topics, or features at any time, and may occasionally take a page down for correction if a data error is found.
Who owns the content
The writing, practice questions, worked solutions, and explanations on this site, the software that generates the practice problems, the FE practice-exam PDFs, the diagrams, and the selection and arrangement of the reference data are Ozen Test Prep's work and are protected by copyright. The facts inside the reference tables, such as ampacities, conduit areas, and box-fill volumes, belong to no one, and the documents they come from belong to their publishers (NFPA for the NEC, NCEES for the FE Reference Handbook). What we claim is our own compilation, wording, and code, not the underlying facts.
What you can do with it
Use everything here for your own exam preparation: work problems on screen, print or save the practice-exam PDFs for your own study, and share a link to any page with anyone. Quoting a short passage is fine as long as you credit Ozen Test Prep and link to the page it came from. If you teach a course or run a training program and want to use the material with students, email us first.
What you can't do with it
No scraping or automated downloading. Don't use bots, crawlers, scrapers, headless browsers, or other automated tools to copy or download pages, practice questions, PDFs, or data from this site, and don't try to get around the measures that block them. Search engines that follow our robots.txt are welcome, and so are AI assistants that fetch a single page to answer someone's question and cite it.
No copying the question engine. Don't copy, adapt, reverse-engineer, or reuse the code that generates the practice problems. Don't harvest what it generates into a question bank, course, app, or book, either: generating questions in bulk to collect them is copying.
No republishing. Don't republish, resell, or mirror our questions, solutions, explanations, PDFs, or guides, whether on another website, in a paid course or app, or in print, and don't frame this site inside another one.
No AI training. Don't use content from this site to
train, fine-tune, or evaluate an AI model, or to build a dataset. This
is also an express reservation of text-and-data-mining rights under
Article 4(3) of EU Directive 2019/790, stated in machine-readable form
on every response by the tdm-reservation header and in
tdmrep.json.
No overloading the site. Don't attempt to overload, disrupt, or send excessive requests to the site.
When we find our work copied, we send takedown notices to the host and to search engines, including notices under the DMCA. If you come across a copy of this site's content somewhere else, please tell us at hello@ozentestprep.com.

Pages on this site link to official sources such as state licensing boards, NCEES, OSHA, and NFPA. We don't control those sites' content and aren't responsible for it — we link to them because they're the primary source for the fact being cited.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
