About Ozen Test Prep
Most exam-prep sites give you a fixed bank of a few hundred questions — memorize the bank, pass the test, forget the math. Ozen Test Prep does the opposite: every calculator generates a genuinely new problem each time, so you're practicing the underlying skill, not recalling an answer key.

Two exam hubs, each built on verified data
The first hub covers the Journeyman & Master Electrician exams:
- Four practice topics — Ohm's Law, Voltage Drop, Conduit Fill, and Box Fill
- Fully-cited state licensing requirement pages for Texas, California, and Florida — exam vendor, fees, experience hours, and renewal cycle, each linked to the official board document it came from
- A public sources & references page documenting exactly where every number in every calculator came from
The second covers the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam:
- A timed FE practice test that follows the NCEES rules — 110 questions on the 5 hr 20 min clock, a review-and-submit point halfway, and scores by knowledge area. FE Civil and FE Mechanical have questions for all 14 of their knowledge areas; the other five disciplines are marked Partial until every section has its own question types
- Guides to FE Civil and FE Mechanical, a 12-week study guide, and a free self-paced prep course
- An FE sources page with every NCEES document used and seven years of pass rates by discipline
How we verify data
Every table, cross-checked — check it yourself
Six NEC reference tables (ampacity, box fill, conduit & conductor areas, motor full-load current) and all 19 individually-cited facts across the Texas, California, and Florida licensing pages link straight to the state board or exam-vendor document they came from — not to us as the authority, to the primary source. We don't host or redistribute copyrighted code-book text (the NEC is NFPA copyrighted); only the underlying factual numbers are used, the same way any competing code-reference tool does it. The full trail is public in the source manifest — click through any citation and compare it to what's shown here.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no email capture, no login required for any calculator
- No fabricated reviews or testimonials — this is a new site and we'd rather show you our sources than invent a quote
- No paywall — every calculator is free, with no usage limit
- No claim of affiliation with OSHA, NFPA, IBEW, NECA, or any state licensing board — we're independent
Who's behind this
One person, not a licensed electrician or engineer
Ozen Test Prep is built and maintained by Simon, a teacher who designs exam questions for a living (the calculator-over-question-bank approach above is Bloom's Taxonomy applied to licensing exam prep) — not a licensed electrician or professional engineer. That's exactly why nothing here rests on that: every number is cited to its primary source above, so you can verify it without having to take a bio's word for anything.
What's next
More electrician practice topics (dwelling-unit load, motor full-load current), more fully-verified states, full question coverage for the five FE disciplines still marked Partial, and eventually additional exams — each built to the same standard: real sources, cited, or the page says plainly that it isn't verified yet.
